Who says white girls can't dance?

Fight Like A Girl

Destiny has had a rough week.  Lots of bullying and calling her names by the little boy that supposedly liked her and teasing by girls that are supposed to be her friends.  How sorry they will all be when they see what she has learned at Tae Kwon Do (Just kidding!!)  We actually enrolled her a month or so ago because we thought that the self-discipline and self-respect that she would get from it would be life changing and we were not wrong.

These are the tenets that she is learning.  Funny, these are the same lessons that we try to reach them at home.

Destiny's new favorite shirt, "Warning, I fight like a girl."
Destiny was awarded 2 stars this week for her uniform based upon her behavior in school

Maddie and Destiny got to break boards at the end of class (so did Abby but the camera didn't flash).

The whole crew at the end of class including Dad who is also taking Tae Kwon Do.

Sweet Victory

After three months of hard work, endless practices and long football games Abby's season with the Hoya's ended.     In three competitions they took fourth place, third place and then yesterday FIRST place.

Due West Hoya's are better than the rest
Come on crowd, say it loud
Hoyas's are the best
Hoya's are the best!!

Goodbye October

The older I get the quicker time passes. The girls were anxious for all of October's traditions and holidays and felt that they took forever to get here. I, on the other hand, would have been happy to savor the days a little bit more. We did have a great time though. From the pumpkin patch, to Zoo Boo at the Atlanta Zoo, to trick or treating in our neighborhood. It was a great October although it is went by quickly.  Here are just a few of the random shots from our October.  Hope that yours was just as good!!!
