The life I was meant to live

Do you ever wonder if you somehow ended up in someone else's life?   Like you catch your self looking around one day and wonder how did I ever end up here?

When I was a little girl I knew that I was going to end up with tall, dark and handsome guy and have dark-haired, dark-eyed children, one boy and one girl.   We were going to live in a house in the country (but not too far in the country) and I was going to stay home and my husband was going to go off to work in a suit with a briefcase in his hand.  There would never be a cross word spoken and the world would look like a Disney movie with singing birds and little woodland animals crossing our path.

Funny how life turns out.  My guy is tall and handsome but he is blond.  Our two girl babies are dark-eyed but have light hair.  Our house isn't exactly in the country, I head off to work each day as a nurse (and I love my job) and my husband leaves in his all-white outfit and heads to work with a computer case, not a briefcase.  Cross words sometimes do get spoken and most days it definitely doesn't look like a Disney movie, more often like a before picture on Clean Sweep.   All I would need is a visit from the Super Nanny and the Dog Whisperer to make the picture complete.

Yet it's my life and as much as I want to complain sometimes, it is a life that I am blessed to have.   And after much consideration I have to say that while I would change some things in my life, I wouldn't be in any other life if given the opportunity.
